Winning week!

This has been one heck of a football week in our house.

First, and most important, the Broncos won again putting to rest all the talk of Peyton's lackluster performance in cold weather.  It doesn't matter what conditions the game is played in, Peyton is the man!

Second, the Chiefs started their winning ways again.  (I only mention this because I love my husband, although I do not support his love of the Chiefs.)

Third, my fantasy team won again securing me a place in the playoffs.  I fully expect to lose in the first game of the playoffs because that's how things usually go, but I thrilled to have made it there especially with a 300+ point lead over the 2nd place team that belongs to Jillian.)

Fourth, the CSU Rams accepted an invitation to the New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque on December 21st.  Jillian and I always said that the next time the Rams made it to a bowl we'd be there.  Jillian got us great seats on the 50-yard line, I booked the hotel, and we're ready to go!  A perk of the game being in Albuquerque is that we'll be able to have a quick visit with Irv's family.  If any of the Albuquerque family wants to go to the game here's a link to buy tickets on the CSU side--CSU Rams!

The last great football event of the week is that I found out that Mr. Beans secretly desires to be a Denver Broncos fan.  Look at this secret picture that was taken of him trying on a Bronco's hat in WalMart.  I think the picture speaks for itself.  It's a good thing that he's finally figured out which side he should be on.  I think that hat might be the perfect Christmas present for him.  Go Broncos!

On a non-football related note, our temperature is supposed to get above freezing today for the first time in a week and it was actually above zero on my drive to work this morning.  Yahoo!

OMG!!! She's a dirty scoundrel. I took that picture of Shiloh as a joke. You can see the look of disdain on his face. And then she embarrasses the poor boy by putting it on the blog!!! Guess we know which grandparent he loves the most now!! Go Chiefs!!

I can't believe how well the Chiefs are doing and I love watching Peyton Manning play. Alas, my poor poor Cowboys....
