Fun with the fam!

The family went to the circus yesterday.  It was supposed to be "The Greatest Show on Earth", but we weren't all that impressed.  I give it 2 out of 4 stars.  I did however see something I've never seen at a circus before.  One of the performers fell about 30 feet while warming up and they had to call the paramedics and ambulance.  I heard on the news this morning that he suffered only a shoulder injury so it wasn't too serious.

This circus did not even have a trapeze.  How can a circus not have a trapeze?  That's my favorite part.

Mr. Beans had to have his $12 cotton candy (hat included) which makes a very fine goatee.  It was his lucky day though because I found a $20 bill on our way out and I gave it to him.  I thought he should take us out for frozen yogurt with it, but he didn't agree.

An elephant brought in the American flag which was very cool!

There were also some beautiful equines--a Fresian, some American Paint Horses, Norwegian Fjords, Arabs (who were very naughty), and even some zebras.

We had family game night at Jillian and Brian's house afterwards and had fun playing Cranium.  It was Dad and Jillian against Mom and Mary.  After two games, it was tied so we're going to have to have a re-match.

This is me with Jillian as my puppet (one of the categories in Cranium).

This is Jillian teaching us how to look through "goggles" in a new way.

This is apparently one of Mary's tricks....

It was a fun day with my kiddos and to make it even better, we called Dana to tell her how much we missed her.  She says she's really coming home next month and will be in AZ on JULY 10th!!  I think our next Cranium party needs to be in Phoenix.  Now we just need to find a way to get Adam here.  It will be nice having all my babies in the same hemisphere again.
