Skywatch Friday: A Day in the Garden

It's not often that we have a glorious spring-like day in February, but a couple weeks ago we had a beautiful, perfect day.  We took to the trails at the Garden of the Gods to soak up some sunshine and enjoy some fresh air in the midst of winter.

There's almost nothing that makes me happier than being outside in God's beauty.  I love this view with Pike's Peak.

It was kind of odd to see the wienermobile driving through the park.  We used to see this in Madison, WI when we lived there because there is an Oscar Mayer plant there.  I can't say that I've ever seen one in Colorado Springs before.

The park has immaculate trails!  Well groomed and maintained.

Amazing balancing rocks.

So beautiful that it looks like a painting.

I can't wait for another day like this, but first we have to finish with winter.  A big storm is expected this weekend--between 3 and 20 inches of snow depending on which news report you listen to.  I'm kind of looking forward to being snowed in over the weekend.

What a beautiful spot! And wow, a lot of years since I've seen a wienermobile!! I remember the ads from when I was a child.
