Skywatch Friday - Blue Skies Over the Peak

Happy Skywatch Friday from the high desert of Colorado which happens to have the best view of Pikes Peak.

There's hardly a day that goes by that I don't stop and take a photo of this magnificent mountain.

It not only provides magnificent scenery, it also always lets me know which direction is west.  I don't know people who don't have mountains are able to navigate.

How 'bout those blue skies?  If the sun isn't shining in Colorado we get very grumpy.

What is the compass in your life?

I'm with you... I can't navigate unless I have a mountain peak to orient me! Nice photos.
Nice shots. I am always taking pics of the mts around here and I am being grumpy today---no sky at all--it is all fog. MB

I can see why you love this scene.

Our reference point here is Mount Ventoux, almost 2000 metres towering over the plains of Provence. It's covered in clouds at the moment and I believe it's snowing underneath. We'll see what it looks like when it all clears up :)
