Going, going, gone!
What a beautiful weekend! The wind was blowing a little bit, but not too bad so we got to spend some time outdoors.

Saturday morning we got up and went to an auction. A guy Irv works with is also an auctioneer and he has several auctions each year out at his place. This auction contained a lot of horse stuff so I was on the hunt for some corral panels. There were over 40 of them for sale and I wanted all of them so Irv and Brian could build me a real arena. Unfortunately, I wasn't the only one there who wanted the panels and we came home empty handed. That was okay though because we ran into lots of old friends.
There were also horses and a mule for sale.
After the auction we went to Horseman's Days at the Falcon High School where Jillian was running the youth activities for 4-H. Stick horse races, coloring, story time. Even Mr. Beans made a stick horse, but I forgot to take the camera in.

I've found that people sometimes get carried away at auctions and pay way more for items than they're worth. I know it's fun to raise your hand and bid on things, but when you can buy something brand new that is less than what it's going for at the auction, that's not smart.

This guy was very cute.
This one, not so cute and a little skinny.
What a cute couple!
This is an even cuter couple.
Then it was home for a quick nap time with Bella.
Today we went to church then came home and did some yard work. I found Irv washing his motorcycle.
It must be getting close to summer!
We found time to go see The Hunger Games later in the afternoon. I haven't read the book, but the movie wasn't too bad--a little slow at times.
I found lots of ways to avoid doing homework for my IT Project Management class this weekend. I think I have spring breakitis, even though I don't get a spring break. I think we need a spring break from work, don't you?
