Black..I mean green/gold friday
How did you spend your Black Friday this year? Were you one of those people who got up at the crack of dawn to find all the great deals?
Jillian and I used to enjoy doing that, but as the opening times have become earlier and earlier, we no longer participate in the Black Friday frenzy. Of course I still had to get up at the crack of dawn, but only because I had to go to work. Blah!
I was only there a few hours though before I talked my boss into letting me provide IT support remotely for the afternoon. Yippee! How nice it was to be able to join my family at the Colorado State vs. Air Force football game.
A perfect day for a pre-game tailgate.
A little cornhole with Jillian and Brian's custom CSU/Wisconsin cornhole set.
Our Australian guests seemed to enjoy their first ever tailgate party. Apparently in Australia they don't have tailgates before their cricket, rugby, etc. matches because everyone takes public transportation to the games. Kind of hard to tailgate without a tailgate.
Plenty of nutritious tailgate food.
A future Ram was our grill master (pretty sure Grandpa is looking down with a smile on his face).
A stadium so full of Ram Fans that you would have thought it was a CSU home game.
A little funnel cake at half-time.
All the ingredients for a perfect football day...with just one exception. CSU forgot to show up to play and although the game was tied with 3 seconds left on the clock, Air Force pulled out a victory with a last second field goal.
Bummer. Nobody can complain about a 10-2 season though. Way to go Rams! Now we just have to see what bowl they get...might be making a last minute trip to Vegas, San Diego, or Albuquerque.
Beautiful day with family and friends, and nobody from work called me all afternoon!
