Finally....a diagnosis

I've been really bad at blogging lately....it's because for the first time in my life I haven't felt well for several weeks in a row.

Eight weeks ago I felt a little pain in my right side.  I've been scanned, poked, prodded, x-rayed and visited more doctors in the last few weeks than I have my entire life.  I've also had a lot of diagnoses that turned out to be wrong.

One thing I learned is that you have to be your own advocate for your health care.  If you know something isn't right, you have to pursue it constantly.

Today I finally got a diagnosis that I know is right...gall stones. I'm going to see a surgeon tomorrow who thought he could get me in for surgery on Friday to remove my gall bladder.

Yippee!  I'm so excited to even think about feeling good again.

What I really want to know though, is the gall bladder really green like they show in all the pictures?

I kind of wish I could stay awake to see the thing for myself.

Do you think they'll let me bring my camera so I can blog about it?

Have you looked up pictures of gall stones? Maybe they'll let you have them after the surgery!

I hope this makes you feel better!
