Time to Visit Mickey!
After leaving Yosemite after several days we drove to Anaheim for a little Disney fun.
We arrived a day ahead of the family members we were meeting so we ventured to the Park that evening hoping we could find some dinner and maybe enjoy some of the rides. The Park was packed, it was nearly impossible to find a place to eat, the lines were long. At that point I knew this would probably be my last Disney trip. All I wanted to do was go back to the mountains of Yosemite.
We wandered over to California Adventure and found a nice spot to watch the fireworks.
Disney does the best firework shows.
Disney is a whole lot more fun when there's a granddaughter involved. Here we are on the Toy Story ride.

Thank goodness for the Lightning Lane fast pass. It's something you purchase in addition to the admission fee that allows you to reserve times for specific rides and then cut to the front of the line when your time arrives. Our three day military park hopper tickets with lightning lane were about $400 each which is a significant discount from the non-military price. The lightning lane is a must have to avoid waiting in long lines.
I will admit Star Wars land is very cool.
Everything was decorated for Halloween and Disney does not skimp on decor.
Everyone pretends to hate It's a Small World, but it's a must go on ride for me.

It was a long day!
Disneyland celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2025. I remember going there a couple times as a kid. It was much different then. You bought a coupon book and each ride was worth a certain number of coupons so you had to pick and choose what you wanted to ride.
In the evening we came back for the Oogie Bogie Halloween Party. Can you tell what the family theme was?
Time to go home, thank goodness.
