Reminiscing

I'm still scanning pictures and today I found a handful from many, many moons ago.

Presumably this is before I came along.  I have no idea where these were taken.  My dad was stationed in many small communities.  Could it be Coyote, NM or is this Payson, AZ?

Now my dad is taking the picture.  I love my brother Bob's suspenders!

Was this my parent's car?  Where are they now?  This is why people should always write when, where, and who on the back of photos.

See that dining chair to the left?  I still have that in my house.  I'm looking for a buyer if anyone is interested.

I love this photo and the next one.  It looks like a posed picture for a family out for a picnic during the 60s.  Bob looks just like a cowboy from that time period.  I assume the little one is me so maybe 1960 or 1961?

This photo is fabulous!  It should be in a gallery of the 60s somewhere.  Cowboy hat and shirt for both my brothers.

Me and my dad hanging out.  My dad used to get up really early in the morning. Maybe it was his duty to watch over me early so my mom could get a little sleep.
My very excited brothers taking me for a walk.  Cute blue dress.
Same location different day.  I know it's not Price, UT so it must be Payson.

Here's my first house in Payson, AZ in 2012 when my brothers and dad visited there.  I think the pictures above are the Payson house.  I think it was prettier and had more character back in the day.

Here I am with my brothers and dad on that 2012 visit.

All dressed up and ready for Easter, I assume.  I still have the little white gloves I wore as a child.

This looks like it was developed the same time as the Easter picture, but now it's Christmas.

A selfie from 1963.  These pictures were definitely from Price, UT.  I remember that house quite clearly.

I think my brother was forced to sit beside me in this picture.  He doesn't seem too happy to be holding my doll.  I remember receiving that doll for Christmas when I was about 4 or 5.  It was possible to make her walk (with a lot of effort).

This photo was from our Eagar, AZ house.  Neither of them looks too happy, do they?

No clue where this photo was taken or when.  Again, no one looks too happy.

I don't have a lot of photos from my youth.  My dad took a lot of slides which my brother has control of now.  He does a good job of converting them and posting them every now and then.  My kids have a lot of pictures from when they were kids and then digital cameras came around and just like that there are very few printed photos of them.  I wonder if when they become older they'll wish there were more printed photos of themselves and their families.

Enough nostalgia for today.  Gotta get back to scanning.

That first photo is in Coyote. Our house in Coyote and the one in Payson had the exact same floor plans except that the house in Payson had a door going directly to the garage from the kitchen.

I think the second photo is Coyote as well. But I am not sure.

The two photos in the woods I think was in Payson. I've like them also.

I was doing google street view of Payson and it looks like our old house there was demolished. Oh well.

I was doing some google mapping of Eagar, and I'm wondering if our house there has been demolished as well. I can't really tell.

And strange thing, I have been invited by several people to the 50th reunion at Round Valley High School. I'm thinking about going. It is over the July 4th holiday and the class is going to ride on a big trailer in a parade. I can't miss that!. I'm also going to Del Norte's 50th in August.
