Many Glacier
After checking into the beautiful Glacier Park Lodge we loaded into the car and made the 30 mile drive to the Many Glacier inside the park.
Although it was only a 30 mile drive it took well over an hour because the road was narrow, curvy and along the side of a mountain. We got our first view of Glacier National Park.
One thing you'll notice about Glacier National Park is that the glaciers have severely receded. Of course global warming is fake news, but I suggest you get up there soon if you want to see any trace of a glacier.
Around 7:30 p.m. we decided it was time to head back. We caught these three cuties playing in the lake.
We made it back to our car on on the way out we saw this guy (black bear) and...
these guys (grizzly sow with three cubs) all within 100 feet of each other. Our lucky day!
We also saw this beauty! We saw him on our drive in and he was in the same location when we left 3 hours later. I'm afraid he might have been hit by a car or something.
We made it back to the hotel and made it into the dining room at 9:15 only minutes before it was to close. We were famished.
A great day of adventure with my sweetie.

My pictures do not do justice to the beauty of this place.
The wildflowers were in full bloom.
It took us well over an hour to reach our destination--the Swiftcurrent Pass Trail.
Fully loaded with bear spray and hiking sticks for protection we started our journey.
This tree was awesome.

The undergrowth was just like a rain forest.
We loved the rock walls.
Beautiful aspens and streams along the way.
There across the lake is our final destination--Red Rock Falls.
Coming around the last curve we caught a glimpse of this guy. A young couple were shaking in their shoes at the sight of him. They didn't have bear spray or anything with them and were scared to death of Mr. Moose. Irv and I surveyed the situation and decided to continue around him. At no time were we closer than 25 yards to him. The young couple decided to head back which was good because we didn't want to be responsible for their safety.
The hike was definitely worth it.
Beautiful falls!
I got my telephoto lens out and got some good close ups of our new friend.

We loved the moss growing on the cliff walls.
